I KNOW...

To everyone that takes time to read my journal entries: I am so sorry that I have not written updates lately. I, Alese Coco, do solemnly swear that I will keep you all up to date like once a week :-)

Ok Here's what has been going on: I am still doing the low dose chemo GND, and just like Dr O promised I have not lost my hair- but since it still is chemo it does affect my blood counts. This past week I went in to receive treatment, and my platelets were 33,000 (they should be like 300,00) and my white blood count was 1.2 (it should be like 11) So I didn't get treatment- which left me kind of relieved because I really didn't feel like getting treatment this week. So I've been getting daily shots at home to help boot my blood counts and I go back on Wednesday of this week receive treatment, and this week I'm ready so bring it!

I have some fun stuff to share with you. I don't know if I have shared this with you but the Madison Police Department is awesome! When I go in for treatment during the week there's no where to park, and they have helped me out. So to say thank you, I bake them cookies about once a month. The Madison Fire Department has started a dodge ball team, I'm not kidding. Here's the catch, they need a girl to play. That's right, I'm the girl! But I can't throw a ball to save my life. My Dad told me that watching me throw a ball is the funniest thing he's seen in a long time, because when I throw it- it looks like it's going to go far because I really put effort into it, but then it lands like 8 feet away from me- no I'm not exaggerating. I may have forgotten to tell the Fire Department this information when they asked me to play. I hid behind everyone else and ducked and dodged so well that I was always the last person on the court, which made it five against one. There was a 10 or 12 year old boy that was there watching the matches, and he took my place, I was subbed out. My official title has been changed from "Dodge ball player" to "Cheerleader" I am so fine with that.

Other than that life has been pretty low key, I get to come home for Christmas- (Thanks Dr O) and I should be back on the East Coast for new years. I cannot tell you how blessed I have been in 2005. I want to thank everyone who takes the time out of their day to read my updates and keep me in their prayers. I cannot express how much that means to me. I asked Santa for a digital camera for Christmas, so hopefully I can share more pictures with you all very soon :-) I'll see you in 7 days!

Fight 2 Win,
-Alese
