Mixed Bag…
The PET/CT scan I had yesterday came back with mixed reviews….I had an appointment with Dr. O’Connor a few hours after the scan was completed and my parents were able to join in the appointment via wireless teleconferencing, technology is a great asset.
Some of the cancerous lymph nodes in my chest have reduced in size and a couple had very minor growth. Even though these nodes are relatively small, they’re going to blast me with 12 rounds of GND. Dr. O. wants the HD to achieve some remission before participating in future clinical trials. This will allow Dr. O to manage the HD without the nagging HD symptom of itching that I experience. Thank you.
For me, this trial has been good… For the most part, the HD remained fairly stable and I’ve been able to live life without incident. And, in the process, I’ve lost a few pounds, I can’t ever complain about that. I have a couple of tests on Friday that are part of closing out the trial and I’ll receive the first round of GND on Monday, April 10th.
I’m flying home on the April 11th, I’ll be home for six days. I want to thank the good people at jetBlue Airways and my awesome friends at CAN for all the help with flights. Vicky, Darcy, Bonnie and the CAN crew, you’re amazing people. Mr. Neeleman, Isemma and jetBlue Airways, thank you, I appreciate your generous support.
