Double Positive....

I’m back living in California (hopefully for good) And I have good news!

It’s been a busy two weeks. My Dad and I flew back to the east coast on June 23rd to pack-up and ship all my stuff back to California.

I’ve officially moved out of the Honeywell house in Madison, New Jersey. I really want to thank Honeywell’s Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Cote and Senior Vice President, Mr. Weidenkopf for making it possibly for me to stay there. This allowed me to receive treatment at Sloan Kettering and made it possible for Dr. O. to find the combination of treatment protocols that has kept the HD manageable. Words of gratitude seem insufficient, I’m forever grateful for your generosity and willingness to help!

I was back in Cali for four days before flying back to NY for an unscheduled PET/CT scan. I started itching while we were packing, initially; I thought it was just weather related because it was 90 degrees with a 100 percent humidity. It was gross. But, the itch continued after we returned to Cali. So, I called Dr. O and he said; “Get back here now and we’re going to scan you.” I flew in Sunday evening and was scanned late Monday afternoon, and flew back to Cali Tuesday evening, just in time for fireworks.

The good news… I’ve had a 50% reduction in all cancerous lymph nodes in my body... WHOO HOO. I’m going to continue GND for a few months and than start SaHa sometime in September.

I also want to thank Abby Oberman and her fabulous family for allowing me to stay with them over the weekend. Thank you, I love you guys. (Abby you're my long lost sister)

I’m treated again on Monday at COH, I started working out again for the first time in like a year. I got on the eliptical machine and was feeling pretty good- two minutes in to it I thought I was toast, seriously, I thought I was having a heat attack. I ended up staying on it for about 15 minutes, and I'm very proud of myself! I feel good and I'm ready for the summer.

Fight 2 Win,
-Alese
