Sweet Home California…

There is nothing better then being home with my family, friends and the unbelievable California weather. I’m flying back to the East Coast Sunday morning and it’s supposed to be snowing when I arrive, but I’m bundled up and ready to go.

I’m still recovering from the accident, my hip is still sore and I’m still walking with a noticeable limp.

Treatment wise, this has been an off week, the Bortezomib causes me to dehydrate, so this week I went to the local hospital and they gave me a couple bags of fluids, it really helped me.

My friend Haley is coming to stay with me for a few days, she flies in Sunday afternoon, she’s a awesome friend and I appreciate her coming to visit me.

On Wednesday, April 26th, the Comedy & Magic Club is going to have a benefit for me; it will be a fun evening. If you’re available on the 24th, you can make reservations by calling 310-372-1193. I promise you’ll have fun, and I look forward to being there.

Back In NYC…

I’m back in NYC after a great weekend with my family… I’ve stayed in the City for the past few nights, but I decided to come back to Madison last evening.

I’m doing well on the treatment I’m receiving and I’m not having any noticeable side affects except for weight loss. My weight is down to just under 119 pounds and I’m eating anything I want.

While I was at Morristown Hospital after the accident they scanned me from head to toe and the ER Doctor told me the biggest cancerous lymph node in my chest was the size of a dime. If this is the case, it would mean the trail I’m on is working and the nodes in my chest have reduced in size. However, my parents want verification and a second opinion, so, they had the film and reports forwarded to Dr.O. for he and his team to review. I’m in the wait mode for his response.

I’m still experiencing a lot of pain in my lower back and slept on the floor half the night to get some relief. I get treatment today and Friday and its back to California for nine days, I'm looking forward to seeing everyone, thank you for your prayers.

The Grace Of God...

As many of you have heard, my Mom and I were in a serious automobile accident last week. I appreciate all the e-mails and I apologize for not retuning the messages, but I’m stiff, sore and in a significant amount pain. I feel like I been some ten year olds personal piñata.

Without going into a lot of detail, someone t-boned my car at freeway speed because they were reaching for their cell phone and not paying attention to the road.

My Mom flew back to California Friday evening, and my friend Jules is staying with me. She and Joe have been unbelievable, and I’m grateful for their help and support. Thank you to everyone for your prayers and well wishes. I can't help but acknowledge that we are here only by the grace of God… And remember that even in an event so serious… That this could've been worse.
